NJ Highlands Council Chooses CRI as its Land Preservation Consultant

April 20, 2009- Conservation Resources Inc. is pleased to announce that CRI, in response to a competitive Request for Qualifications, has been selected to serve as Land Preservation Consultant to the New Jersey Highlands Water Protection and Planning Council (Highlands Council). Effective immediately, CRI will assist the Highlands Council in:

• Developing a regional clearinghouse of information regarding preservation programs, innovative tools, and funding sources for land acquisition;
• Coordinating the land acquisition process by identifying willing sellers and facilitating funding contributions;
• Prioritizing land acquisition activities;
• Developing a landowner assistance, education, and outreach program to provide technical assistance and guidance  for landowners; and
• Implementing the Highlands Transfer of Development Rights Program.

CRI is looking forward to assisting the Highlands Council with this exciting new endeavor.
